This week marks the annual event known as Catholic Schools Week, a week dedicated to proclaiming the value of a faith-based educational foundation.

What exactly is that foundation? It is nothing less than Jesus Christ himself who stands as the basis for all that we do at St. Joseph and Mercy Academy. As the sign above our main office door says,

“Be it known to all who enter here that
CHRIST
is the reason for this school. He is the unseen but
ever present teacher in its classes. He is the model
of its faculty and the inspiration of its students.”
As the only Catholic elementary/middle school and the only Catholic high school in Cheshire County and the Monadnock area, SJRS and OLMA are places where children can grow in knowledge and faith and in the understanding that they are created in the image of God, where our dedicated staff partner with parents, who are the primary educators, in order to follow the Mission of our schools and every other Catholic school, namely to prepare students for life and for the afterlife in heaven.

We cannot accomplish this Mission alone. We always rely on generous benefactors and supporters, and their donations are essential to our everyday budget needs, especially as we maintain the older school buildings and the expenses for upkeep that come with them.

We ask that you prayerfully consider making a gift to our schools to help us with our needs, whether it be for facilities or tuition assistance. We ask that you pray for our schools and our Mission, as we pray for all of our supporters.

In Christ,
