SJRS 21st Annual Spring Auction to be held on March 20, 2010

(Message to families...)

The SJRS 21st Spring Auction is around the corner.  Please mark your calendars to attend.  This event directly raises funds that are applied to tuition!  We have 111 families in our school, and I am asking each family to make this event the most successful ever!

Below are ways that you can help:

  1. Attend the silent and live auctions that will be held in our gym on March 20, 2010 beginning at 5:00 p.m.  There will also be a preview on Friday afternoon, March 19, 2010 from 3-6 p.m. where you can register, peruse all items and bid on silent auction items.

  2. Donate an item to be auctioned.  We are looking for items, services and memorabilia.  If you have an item to donate, you can drop it off at the school office or call me or e-mail me to pick up the item.  Please make sure that you attach a note to the item so that I can properly thank you and so that you can make an appropriate tax deduction.

  3. Consider placing an advertisement in our program.  Full-page advertisements are $125, half-page advertisements are $75, and business card advertisements are $40.  We typically have around 250-300 members of the Keene Community present at the auction!  Again, call me or e-mail me for more information.  All advertisements must be received with payment by 2/28/2010 to make the printing deadline.

  4. Buy a raffle ticket.  We are selling 250 tickets at $20/ticket.  The winning ticket will be drawn at the live auction.  The winner will receive $1,000, and if that winner is present at the auction, he/she will receive a bonus of $500!  Tickets are available in the office and are also being sold by the Auction Committee.

  5. Bake something for the auction.  In a few weeks, I will send home a form with all students to look for donations of baked goods for the bake sale that we hold at the preview and auction.  This year we will also be looking for a few pots of chili and home-baked macaroni and cheese.

  6. Tell your friends and relatives.  The SJRS website: stjosephkeene.org has a very active auction website that is being updated almost daily.  It is a great way to see what is being contributed and by whom.  If there is someone that you would like to invite to the auction, please do not hesitate to e-mail me, and we will send out a formal invitation.  The invitations will go out within the next two weeks.  Also, if you encounter those who have donated, please thank them.

  7. Post a poster or flyer advertising the auction if you have an appropriate place and are allowed by your business.  Let me know if you need a poster or flyer.  It will look like the one posted on the door coming into the school.

  8. Bid on the creative Class Projects. Details and class projects will be listed on the web site near the time of auction.

If I can be of further service to you or answer any questions that you may have, please e-mail me at chase_ruelle@myfairpoint.net or call me at (603) 355-4868.  Thank you for your consideration.

I hope to see you at the auction.
